How to fix a mixed content or SSL warning on your website

Fixing SSL Certificate Warnings

If your site shows a padlock with a warning, or "Not Secure" in the browser bar, you likely have a mixed content issue.

What is mixed content?

This happens when some elements on your page (images, scripts, stylesheets) are still loading over HTTP instead of HTTPS, even though your certificate is active.

How to fix it

1. Log in to cPanel and open your WordPress admin.
2. Install the free plugin Really Simple SSL.
3. Click Activate SSL in the plugin. It will handle the redirect and fix most mixed content automatically.

If the issue persists, open a ticket under Web & Hosting with your domain name and a screenshot of the error.
